My Internet Addiction

My daughters have been out of town since the afternoon of the 4th. They're spending the weekend with their maw-maw, Alan’s mom. I don’t normally have babysitters so having a bit of free time is nice but truthfully… I’m not happy. My internet went down about a week ago and I have to either go to my neighbors to work or sit at McDonald’s for hours, which is what I did yesterday! You truly don’t know how many weird people are in Asheville/Candler until you sit in one spot in the middle of town for 3 hours and watch as the people come in and out! What makes things worse is that I can never remember what I need to get done when I’m able to work. I seem to remember all the things that I needed to get done, after I return home. I have lists but they are not neat and I end up felling lost. By the time it’s time for me to head home, I’m frustrated as can be and realize that I've barely gotten anything done! My plans for my weekend without kids has been ruined and I can’t seem to look on the bright side. I wanted some peace and quiet to work and now I have to travel to even louder places to work and it’s not working. I’m losing my mind and feeling completely miserable during the one weekend that I have no kids to worry about. This won’t happen again, I don’t get babysitters. None watches my kids for me, not even if I need a baby sitter for something important… I can never find one. Alan’s mom is always up for watching our girls but she lives in Hudson, NC. It’s not like I can drop the kids off at her house for an hour or so and then pick them up later…. She’s atleast an hour away and she happens to be the only babysitter that we have. My family…. Is a whole different story that I don’t want to get into at the moment. The point is…. I am miserable without my internet connection! It’s sad, I know. I wish I didn't feel that way but I live online. Without the internet, I would of never known that my daddy-paw was diagnosed with Cancer, that my cousin was born, that my mama got a new job…. Truthfully, my family connects through Facebook and it extremely frustrating to discover IMPORTANT news (that someone should of called and let me know about) over social media. I guess that’s how times have changed but it drives me crazy, even more so that I don’t have my connection to discover all the randoms that happen within my odd little group of family members. If it wasn't for fb, I wouldn’t know what some of them even looked like! Sadly that is more true than it sounds, mainly for my dad’s side of the family, I haven’t seen some of them in years but speak to them online every now and then. All in all I’m an online addict and I’m seriously suffering from withdrawals! I wonder if they have classes for that like they do for serious addictions? I wonder if the classes have WiFi? J I guess that would be like asking if an AA meeting has beer…. We all know the answer to that one…. Bad joke, I know, and I’m sorry. My brain is in a very bad place right now and I’m trying to return it to a happy upright position. In the mean time… I believe I’m going to find me some string and go play with my Wizor, maybe I’ll get creative!

Silent Saturday - From 2011 to 2013

- Changing Faces -
Silent Saturday

Below are photo's of my daughters that were taken around the same time... but different years!! It's amazing on how much a child can change in just a year or two!!

Loran and I - 2011

Jade and I - 2011

Loran  - 2012

Jade - 2012

Loran and I - 2013

Jade and I - 2013

You never know what can change in just 1 year!! It's pretty amazing! I've been comparing my daughters alot lately and I've noticed that with some pictures -- You can see a bigger difference than others! My girls are literately growing before my eyes and I feel like I'm missing out but I know that I'm not, they just grown too slow for me to notice.... Until I start looking at old photos... That's when all the past months truly sink in!!
WOW!!
I need to discover a way to either slow down time or turn it back a bit!!
I need more time with my girls being litter!

New Names for Daily Posts!

Due to my internet difficulties, I missed out on posting my Wednesday and Thursday posts, this past week. I actually posted on Thursday (Yesterday) but was in such a hurry to get as much done in the small amount of time that I had, that I missed a few things. I guess life has different plans than me, that's the way it always turns out don't it?

- Anyways -

I have decided to name the Weekly posts. I sat down and after searching my brain for a good little bit, I've come up with the following:

  • Sunday Funday -- Fun at home or a Fun Post Content
  • Mommy Monday -- All About Mommy - Anything about or for moms
  • Tipsy Tuesday -- Not drunk Tipsy... Atleast not every Tuesday! :) Tipsy as in unbalanced in life, walking, drinking, Crazy nerves making your brain tipsy, etc
  • Wacky Wednesday -- Going crazy as in Crazy or Losing minds!
  • Truthful Thursdays -- Swear to tell the Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth? :) It's time to let go a couple secrets and be truthful today! (Answer the topic truthfully!)
  • Frugal Friday -- Anything that is: Cheap, ReUsed, Free, Repurposed, Saving Money tips, etc.

Kidecals Review - #LabelItDontLoseIt

No other compensation has been received other than the product itself. I only write about products/services that I have personally used and/or believe my readers will enjoy or benefit from. Kidecals Labels -

Summer is the time for Vacations and Travel, Pool Visits and Day Trips and the one and only Summer Camp. (Yes, I know there is more than 1 Summer Camp... just work with me for a minute)
What's the one thing that drives you crazy more than anything else when it comes to packing and unpacking before and after camp or a trip?

If you said unpacking less stuff than you remember packing, then you and I are on the same level! We spend our hard earned money on camp supplies, beach towels, water bottles, clothes, etc and before we know it... things start missing, The water bottle gets forgotten at the pool, while your daughters favorite hat gets left at dance class! It gets frustrating and most of the time.. I just want to pull my hair out.

Throughout my travels in the blogging world, I got the opportunity to work with a company that specialized in making personalized labels that are not only washer and dryer proof but dishwasher proof as well! Kidecals come in several designs and you can add any wording that you like. They work great for labeling water bottles, beach towels, Buckets and Shovels, Hats, Clothes, ANYTHING! You can even get chalk labels for your organizing help in the pantry. And of course Kidecals has joined in on the mustache trend as well! They come in 2 different sizes (Small and Medium), 2 different shapes (Circle and Rectangle) and 3 different package sizes:
Mega Pack - $28
(24 Medium labels & 48 small labels)
Everyday Pack - $21
(12 two inch labels and 24 one inch labels = 36 labels)
Mini Pack - $21
(66 small labels)
Jumbo Pack - $18
(Bigger Labels/Less Amount) - Only Available on selected labels

In return for participating the the past campaign I received a sheet of Kidecal labels, chosen and personalized by me. I decided on a rectangular design and added my business information on them. They turned out great and I've even placed one on my glasses as well as on my laptop, (I want to add a label to my phone too but haven't figured out a hidden but findable place yet.)
Once the weather began getting warmer, I started thinking about Summer preparations and knowing that if my daughters went to either one of their grandparents' houses, they wouldn't return home with the same things that I sent them with... Unless I had labels that I could put on all the important items that didn't need to be forgotten at the park or lost at a cousins closet from when the kids went over for a visit. – After just a few minutes of thinking, Kidecals became clear in my mind and I decided to see if they were interested in working together again and wanted to help with my dilemma. I was overjoyed when Kidecals agreed and offered me 2 sheets of labels to help with keeping up with my daughters belongings this Summer.

Since there are so many design options at Kidecals, I let my daughters chose their own labels. Both girls enjoyed being able to chose a design and watch as their name started appearing on the screen, straight across the label! Once we ordered our finished labels, the package showed up at our house just a short time later. They turned out way better than we expected! The name are centered and readable along with the school name that we decided to add since we're sure to have a few labels left over in time for Back-To-School supplies. The material that the labels are made out of has a plasticy-fabric feel and the thickness seems to hold a big part in the durability. Jade chose a black circle label with blue birds while Loran chose more of a Rock Star look with white labels with a heart and crossbones, her name through the middle. Perfect choices! I've added a label to Loran and Jade's “Stylish Hats” and they've held up wonderfully! As well as my business labels on my glasses and lap-top! These labels are not only super convenient but such a money savor as well! Just imagine  how much money you'll be saving when you don't have to buy a new pair of flip-flops 2 weeks after summer begins! I don't know how I kept up with my daughters belongings before I discovered Kidecals! I'll be shopping there from now on for all of my labeling needs! What better way to keep up with your favorite stuff and stay organized then with stylish labels that will last through just about anything that you happen to put them through! Kidecals is my new choice for labels! I can't wait to add a few to school supplies in the next month or so!

I recommend Kidecals Labels to anyone who's trying to keep up with their kids' belongings or just want an easier and prettier way to label everyday items around the house! Having labels that are water-proof and dryer-proof is wonderful! No more worrying about the sticky mess that other sticker-like labels leave or the pale fade of a name from a washed out Sharpie written name. Looking and working better all at the same time! Not to mention that Kidecals offers FREE SHIPPING in the US!! It's couldn't get any better than that!

Visit the Kidecals website or Find them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest

I'm extremely excited to announce that Kidecals has agreed to Host a Giveaway for 1 Mega Set of Labels!!
Keep an eye out!

12 Ways to Reuse an Old Jelly Jar

What On Earth Can You Make With An Old Jelly Jar?

Have you ever wondered how many ways you can reuse an old jar? The possibilities are endless!!! I've created a small list of the idea's that I can think of. If you know of any more ways to reuse an old jar, that I don't have on my list, Feel free to comment them below and I'll grow my list with your ideas! Of course I'll add your name by your idea so everyone gets the proper credit :) You don't have to use an old jar, an empty Jelly Jar works just as well. Together we can keep useful things out of our land-fields!
Lets Turn Trash into Treasure!!
  • Drinking Glass -- Make sure it is 100% clean and sterilized before drinking out of any old jar that you find at thrift stores.
  • Vase for Flowers -- Make sure it's clean enough and has no residue of any chemical that can hurt the flowers.
  • Bait Jar -- For Fishing Trips - Have the kids run around searching for worms! Add a bit of dirt to the jar and once the kids find a worm, they can add it straight to the jar and once it's full, you just grab the jar and head to the water!
  • Watering Jar -- Easy to keep sitting on the counter or window seal to quickly grab and water small inside or outside plants.
  • Food Storage -- If you have the lid to the jar, you can use it to store leftovers. (Wash thoroughly)
  • Storage Container -- Store ingredients in the jar to help organize your pantry.
  • Gift Idea -- Fill up with Hot Chocolate mix, Add a few small marshmallows to top, Tie a ribbon around it, Pair a Drinking Mug with the Jar of Hot Choc. and gift as a gift during the cold months. (You can also do this with the dry ingredients in recipes)
  • Collection Jar -- Store your favorite collection of small items so you can not only store them but display them as well. (marbles, polly pocket, legos, bouncy balls, Silly Bands, Etc.)
  • Pencil Holder -- Decorate with your craft supplies to give the jar a personalized touch and so it don't just bare and plain! (I use to make these all the time! FUN!)
  • Cookie Cutter -- Use the top of the jar as a Cookie Cutter.
  • Candle Holder -- If you have the tall stick candles - Stand the candle up in the middle of the jar, Make sure the candle is a good bit taller than the jar - While holding the candle straight up, Pour marbles, colored gravel, Sand or other small contents - To fill in the empty space and hold the candle up. If there is a chance that the filler could melt if the flame got too close, Don't let the candler get more than 1 inch away from the filler (Maybe less, depending on that you use) You can even use small legos or potpourri  as long as you watch the flame.
  • Piggy Bank -- Use the jar to keep up with your loose change. It's a great way to save a little bit of money (every penny counts and adds up fast). You can decorate the jar or leave it clear. If you have the lid - Cut a small slice in the middle of the lid that is a little bit wider than a Quarter and no longer than the length of a dollar bill - when folded in 1/2 twice. My daughters had a big jar that we were collecting change in but they decided, early one morning, that the change would be used better to play with than to save :) Gotta love those girls!! Kids are so fun and full of trouble hehe :P
So, what did you think of my list?
Do you know of anymore idea's for reusing an old glass jar?
Leave your ideas in the comments and I'll add them to my post - with proper credit giving. (Make sure you leave your blog or social media link with your idea comment if you would like credit when I add the ideas to my post.)

Happy July everyone!!!!
Don't you just love all the warm weather? I love Summer, I do dread being hot and sweaty but I would rather be hot then cold. I get a cold chill and need to cover up. That's just me :)

Isn't that a beautiful July Faerie in the photo above? I have the whole collection on monthly Faeries and I found them randomly online one night while searching for inspration for my short stories that I write sometimes. Doing some Tuesday Thinking

It's been raining alot for the past day or so and I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't rain on July 4th! We have plans to go out of town to visit my fiances family and our kids are going to spend a couple nights with the grandparents. I would hate for it to be raining and ruin our firework plans. But if it rains  in Asheville, that don't mean that it will rain in Lenior/Hudson NC as well. Even though Hudson is only an hour or 2 away, weather can do some crazy things so we may be safe.... I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Last Year for the fourth, my family went to Downtown Asheville and watched the firework show "One The Green". They had live music from local bands along with kids activites, even a blow up slide!! We all had alot of fun!!!
(Read all about our 4th of July in Downtown Asheville -- I wrote up a post about our fun!)

The girls were wanting to go downtown again this year but once they found out that we had plans to go see their Mawmaw, Granny and Grand-Paw... They were as happy as can be!! I've been hearing about this trip for weeks now and it's being brought up more often now that the days are slipping away! We're heading down to Hudson, NC around 10am on Thursday morning, since Alan has to work all day on Wednesday. It's going to be a busy day since we will be driving down, Hanging out with family, Watching Fireworks, and then driving home all in the same day! The kids will only be in the car for the trip down but I'm a bit worried that they will get homesick and want to come early. This will be their first long distance trip away from home without myself or their daddy staying with them. It's not just my girls that'll be staying with Alan's mom and step-dad, Mj will be staying too. He's the oldest but he don't come over to our house as much as we would like so sometimes we have a few bad days, it's mostly nights but mornings can be touch at times as well. At the moment, Jade, Loran and Mj are all excited about spending a couple nights with family so I hope they have a wonderful time and not cry for home bad enough that the trip had to be made early.

(The video below is the first video I've uploaded directly to my blog, Let me know if something is wrong or it won't work for you)

My Aunt's Topsy Turvy Planters

This post contains affiliate links - View Disclosure Policy for details

A tomato plant w/
2 baby tomatoes
A couple days ago I noticed that my aunt was posting pictures on facebook of what what she called - her "upside down planters". I recognized them as the Topsy Turvy planters right away and wondered what she though about them. So I sent her a message and started asking about her planters. She confirmed that they were Topsy Turvy planters and she loved them! It didn't take long before Lori was seeing results with her new planters. Even her daughter enjoys watching the plants grow out the bottom! She even offered to take more pictures of them for me to share with you!

"They work great. You can see my squash plant that has several squash already starting and my tomato plant has two tomatoes starting also"
Quote from the Topy Turvy conversation with my aunt, Lori P

Squash Plant with tiny sprouting squash growing out of a Topsy Turvy

I'd seen the Topsy Turvy on TV plenty of times but never tried one out for myself and always wondered if they truly worked like those commercials said they did. Now I know that they do work and I just may have to purchase me some myself! My daughters would be very amazed to see the veggies growing out of the bottom of a "hanging bag-like planter"

I recently found out that if you purchase a set of Topsy Turvy's you get another set for FREE as well as Strawberry Planters!! I've never been able to find a deal like this before and this may be the sign for me to get my Topsy Turvy's now so I don't miss this awesome deal! You can snag this deal as well! For more details visit Topsy Turvy through this blog to get this great deal! I'm heading that way myself!

My family is going Crazy for The Wizor

The Wizor

Even though some sort of compensation may have been received, I only write about products that I have personally used and/or believe my readers will enjoy or benefit from. Don't you just hate it when you come home from a shopping trip and go to take off all the tags and you can't find your scissors? I have 4 pairs of scissors in my house but when I need them... I can't even find 1 pair! My daughters get frustrated and start using their teeth to break the tags off their clothes or we try and break them with our hands and either get cut or hurt. Sometimes I would even tear a hole on the clothes and that frustrates me more than ever! Nothing's worse than ruining your clothes before you even get the chance to wear them. Something needed to be done about these

I wasn't surprised when I ran across a woman who seemed to be having the same troubles as I was, she also had young children so she couldn't just leave scissors laying around the house, but I had no idea that she had solved the problem of tricky retail tags... Angelica is the creator of a new product that she created to help take those annoying retail tags off in an extremely simple and safe way, The Wizor, and that, I was surprised about!

The Wizor is the original wall scissors that works great for any retail tags along with those scraggly strings that can you find on clothes, pillows and pretty much anything that's been sewn together. The Wizor is so easy to use that it's the perfect item for people who have arthritic hands or any other hand disability that makes using scissors a bit harder than normal.

When I was asked if I would be interested in trying out the Wizor, I couldn't say yes fast enough!
When I received the pack of 2 Wizors, I wasn't sure where I was going to hang them. They will stick to any clean hard surface and could conveniently go anywhere! My fiance and I decided to hang one in our living room since it's where we drop all of our shopping bags off before we sort through them.
My daughters had a birthday party recently and I knew this would a perfect chance to try out our new Wizor! Want to see what happened when I took the tags off of a new pair of flip-flops?

How cool was that! It's even cooler when your the one using The Wizor! It's super quick too, which means that little blade that's tucked inside that hard shell, is a sharp lil guy and I like him! I have to admit that I'm extremely easily amused by lots of things, what amuses me more than anything else in miniatures! I can't get enough of tiny versions of a regular item. The Wizor is a tiny version of scissors that sticks to my wall... how can I not be amused by this lil guy?! (Not sure why I've quickly decided that my Wizor is a boy... I guess "lil guy" sounds better than "lil girl" when I'm talking about a non-person) I was able to cut apart both of my daughters' flip-flops in a matter of seconds without searching all over for scissors!

It turns out that I'm not the only person in my household that's easily amused by the Wizor... The Dancing Diva's (My daughters on YouTube) and their brother are just as amused! Watch how Loran easily cuts the tag off of her new headbands! (Jade and Mj used the Wizor as well, you can find their video in the links below the video.)

Truthfully... I took alot of short demonstration video's of my family using The Wizor, none of them are very long but I uploaded them all on YouTube! If you would like to view them all, I've left the links below, I'll have them squished into a single video soon! :)
The Wizor Video's From My Kind Of Introduction via YouTube
All in all - We LOVE the Wizor and couldn't of asked it to work any better! The Wizor truly is safe, Kid Proof, extremely convenient and not to mention fun for the whole family! It's a wonderful lil cutting device that should be in every room, too bad I only have 2! At least I can buy more online! (They cost just $8.99 and you get a pack of 2!) I've only placed the one in my living room and as you can see from the video, I haven't decided where to put the second Wizor yet. So far, my bedroom seems to be the best place for it. If it was my decision, I would put at least one Wizor in each room and suggest that everyone else do the same! I'm finished looking for scissors when I need a retail tag or scraggly string cut, I'll just head on over to the wall and use the Wizor! I'm telling my whole family about this awesome new product as well as all my friends... Starting with you - my readers! You don't know what your missing out on until your able to use The Wizor for yourself!
'Watch out Scissors, there's a new guy in town who's asking about you!
He said his name was Wizor!'

*UPDATE!*
The Wizor is also great for the Craft room! You can cut any string, yarn, ribbon, etc with just one single swip through the Wizor!!

Stop searching for scissors and get yourself a Wizor!
These things work! Take it from my family, we're hooked!
