My Internet Addiction

My daughters have been out of town since the afternoon of the 4th. They're spending the weekend with their maw-maw, Alan’s mom. I don’t normally have babysitters so having a bit of free time is nice but truthfully… I’m not happy. My internet went down about a week ago and I have to either go to my neighbors to work or sit at McDonald’s for hours, which is what I did yesterday! You truly don’t know how many weird people are in Asheville/Candler until you sit in one spot in the middle of town for 3 hours and watch as the people come in and out! What makes things worse is that I can never remember what I need to get done when I’m able to work. I seem to remember all the things that I needed to get done, after I return home. I have lists but they are not neat and I end up felling lost. By the time it’s time for me to head home, I’m frustrated as can be and realize that I've barely gotten anything done! My plans for my weekend without kids has been ruined and I can’t seem to look on the bright side. I wanted some peace and quiet to work and now I have to travel to even louder places to work and it’s not working. I’m losing my mind and feeling completely miserable during the one weekend that I have no kids to worry about. This won’t happen again, I don’t get babysitters. None watches my kids for me, not even if I need a baby sitter for something important… I can never find one. Alan’s mom is always up for watching our girls but she lives in Hudson, NC. It’s not like I can drop the kids off at her house for an hour or so and then pick them up later…. She’s atleast an hour away and she happens to be the only babysitter that we have. My family…. Is a whole different story that I don’t want to get into at the moment. The point is…. I am miserable without my internet connection! It’s sad, I know. I wish I didn't feel that way but I live online. Without the internet, I would of never known that my daddy-paw was diagnosed with Cancer, that my cousin was born, that my mama got a new job…. Truthfully, my family connects through Facebook and it extremely frustrating to discover IMPORTANT news (that someone should of called and let me know about) over social media. I guess that’s how times have changed but it drives me crazy, even more so that I don’t have my connection to discover all the randoms that happen within my odd little group of family members. If it wasn't for fb, I wouldn’t know what some of them even looked like! Sadly that is more true than it sounds, mainly for my dad’s side of the family, I haven’t seen some of them in years but speak to them online every now and then. All in all I’m an online addict and I’m seriously suffering from withdrawals! I wonder if they have classes for that like they do for serious addictions? I wonder if the classes have WiFi? J I guess that would be like asking if an AA meeting has beer…. We all know the answer to that one…. Bad joke, I know, and I’m sorry. My brain is in a very bad place right now and I’m trying to return it to a happy upright position. In the mean time… I believe I’m going to find me some string and go play with my Wizor, maybe I’ll get creative!

The Week of Broken Electronics...

Soooooooo Not only did my camera decide to stop working last week but our internet was off for 1 day and now the router will no longer work either! So I ONLY have internet on my computer. That seems okay, right? NOT! I use Instagram alot to post review photos and other fun pictures and they show up on the sidebar of my blog. I now have a Marilyn Monroe photo that my daughter Instagramed (accidentally lol) on her birthday almost 2 weeks ago and a photo of my fiance and our best-friend. I'm itching to add new photos to my instagram! I don't have internet on my phone because I never saw the point in spending money on something when I'm not away from the house enough to truly take advantage of the Wifi. I'm a WAHM who barley leaves my house, I have Wifi at home along with my phone and cable.... But I have now went just over a week with no wifi! We have no Netflix, no Laptop at night before bed, no Instagram, and no cool new apps to keep me busy when my daughters insist that I watch them climb a tree that they climb daily! We're pretty sure that all we need to do is get a new router but our budget won't allow one right now, just like it won't allow for a new camera. I'm hoping that I can get my camera working again because it's wasn't cheap and I consider my camera another child so I'm extremely lost without it!! My phone camera has NOTHING on my baby aka my poor poor sickcamera!
This girl is in major need of a working camera and some wifi!!

Anything not been going the way you wished this month?

My hectic couple weeks...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

The past couple weeks have been so hectic and has flew by so quick that I ended up getting behind on EVERYTHING!!!! No joke!
My house looks like Taz (the Tasmanian Devil) spent the night, I'm behind on clothes, dishes and the regular cleaning! I completely forgot about my daughters' picture money being due so it's going to be running a tad close to the last day of school before it's paid. The picture packages cost $40 so I owe the school (actually the Photography Company) $80 for pictures! Last Saturday was Jade's birthday!! She is now a big 6 year old!!! I started a birthday post for her but ended up getting distracted and never finished it :( I WILL get that post done, it don't matter if it's late or not, it'll give me time to round up a few of my favorite pictures of Jade to complete the post. Now that Jade is 6, I have two 6yr old daughters! Loran's birthday is not until the 2nd week of June, so for 2 weeks out of every year both of my daughters are the same age. (They are only 11 months apart) When people ask me how old my daughters are, during those 2 weeks, they always look at me funny when I say -for example- 6.... Loran and Jade are complete opposites and don't look the same age AT ALL! But Loran turns 7 in a couple weeks and I haven't even started planning the combined birthday party that plan on having!! (We had a cook-out with the neighbors on Jade's birthday but their true party with the family and everyone, will be together. They like it that way and it's easier on me!)

To top off my hectic couple weeks...... I sick all day Tuesday and yesterday was Field Day at the girls' school so Alan and I were volunteers. It was very hot and hectic but we had a BLAST helping out with Field Day. Alan and I helped out last year during Loran's first field day and I am sooo glad that we were able to help out this year as well, for Jade's first Field Day. I know so many of the kids in that school, a few are family, I enjoyed getting to see everyone and I got alot of pretty good pictures. My camera decided that it wasn't going to read my SIMs card this morning and I don't know if that means my card is messed up of my camera because I had just had my card hooked up to my computer before we left the house so I knew the card was working. So I ended up getting pretty upset but decided that I was going to try my best to take as many good pictures that I could with my phone, crossing my fingers that my phone wouldn't die on me now as well.... My phone is a whole different story..... Long story short -- I dropped my phone in my bath the other night and it bubbled! It has been in and out of a bowl of rice for a day or 2 and it made me proud today!!!!! It may have been messing up pretty bad when it first happened but it works now and I am VERY grateful. I would of been very upset if I wouldn't of been able to take pictures of the girls yesterday. I have many pictures from last year, I needed pictures from this year too! And I got them! You truly don't realize how happy I am about those photos, unless you know me and how I am about Photography and memories. I don't only take pictures of my girls when I'm at their school. I take pictures of every child that I know, especially if their parents wasn't able to make it. I try to make sure that everyone has atleast one picture of their child from the events that I attend. Memories and Photos are all we're going to have of our kids being little, once they grow up. It happens so fast! That's why I do my best to capture as many memories as I can, for everyone that I care about as well as myself.

But ANYWAYS....... This post ended up being a huge mixed up rant of my past couple weeks along with how I feel about Photography. So I guess you can say that you know me a tad bit better now :-) Now that you've read all of this....
I want to say Thank You, because if you read the whole post then that says to me that your a true follower of mine and that warms my heart. You are awesome!

My random rant is complete.

My Valentine's Day Story

I have to say that I have had better days than yesterday. Yes, it was Valentine's Day and it was mandatory for my fiance to work at both his jobs. Needless to say, he was gone all day. But that's not even the half of my Not-So-Good-Day. I babysit a 3yr old little boy and he has to be the easiest child to watch. He plays in one spot and barley gets into anything. Normally his mama brings him to my house around 6:30am, my daughters get on the bus around 7:25am so they are asleep when he gets here, most of the time. Yesterday I had plans to take my daughters to school. Since it was Valentine's Day, my girls had goodies to bring to school and I couldn't risk sending them on the bus with the food... I'm a bit smarter than that. At my daughters' elementary school, the kids have to be in their classroom by 7:45 or they are counted as being late. Well I woke up yesterday morning by my alarms instead of a phone call or a knock at my door. I woke my girls up and they got dressed while I got in-touch with Kayden's mom. She had over slept and my text was what woke her up. I wasn't going to be able to take my girls to school as planned. Since Jade had strawberries and blue berries and Loran had 2 big bags of chips to take to school for their Valentine's Day snack, someone had to take those girls to school. I ended up having to wake up my fiance as the bus stopped at my house to pick up all the other kids who live in my neighborhood. He drove the girls to school and their snacks got there safely. Kayden and his mom showed up not long after Alan left with our girls. He was still half asleep and ended up falling back asleep on my couch before my fiance made it back to the house. I didn't sleep good the night before so I had some posts scheduled to go live so I decided to go get my pillows and lay on the couch with Kayden and watch some TV and maybe squeeze in a nap while he was still sleeping..... That didn't happen. Long story short..... my fiance ended up on the couch while I jumped on the computer to a little bloggin. I did squeeze a little nap in but after my fiance headed off to work I had to deal with a repair man, who works for my landlord, because my hot water don't work in my bathtub and shower. He didn't fix it so my landlord and his wife decided to come look at it and we almost got into an argument so I was stressed the rest of the day. Not to mention that bedtime is always a hectic time in my household! The best part of my Valentine's Day was seeing my girls sleeping away with their new Valentine's Sock Monkey's!!
My day might of been hectic but I love my little girls!

Did you Valentine's Day go as planned?
I would love to hear some of your stories!
