Diary of a Blogger w/out internet ...
(2/1/2014 •°• 1:53pm)
Times are tough.
2013 ended with a boom and I'm still cleaning up the debris. Living with friends can be stressful but we're doing pretty good. Everyone has their own struggles and worries and have been dealing with them as best as they can. My main struggle is personal space and finding time for myself. I've always been a quite type of girl and enjoy my privacy. When you have 4 adults & 3 kids living in one home, it can get hectic. There have been many days where frustration has gotten the best of me and I've ended up getting a little ill at moments. Stealing a few minutes, sitting alone in the car while Alan and the girls are inside, is the only way I'm surviving my personal space issues. It's not perfect and would be better with internet, but it's better than nothing. Now if I could only find a way to enjoy some better "together time" then we'd be in business.
Alan works all the time and if it's not the kids who "hover" it's the roommates. A night, it's sleeping or silence. Something's gotta give...

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS - Survivor’s Guilt: A Ripple Effect of Domestic Violence
- Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.
- Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
- Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.
It’s kind of ironic to me that Domestic Violence Awareness Month falls in the month of October because on October 1, I was born into a family that I would later learn was torn apart from the ripple effects of domestic violence. That would be ripple number two.![]() |

10 things you didn’t know about ME!!
- Hello, My name is Autumn and I'm a Dewoholic! Mountain Dew, that is :)
- To me... First impressions are HUGE when it comes to getting to know someone.
- I got pregnant with my 1st child at age 17 but didn’t know I was pregnant until I had already turned 18 years old.
- I’ve always wanted a daughter named Nadia Lashaye but my fiance don’t like the name, so I had to come up with different names when I had my daughters.
- I have a short temper and have the tendency to yell a lot - I’m working on it. (Some people say it‘s a Bad Attitude Problem)
- When I got pregnant, I never once wanted to give birth to a baby boy, I’ve always wanted daughters ever since I was a child. But If I would have had a son, I would of loved him just as much as I do my girls. I have 2 step-sons and I‘ve loved them since way before pregnancy happened.
- I have many Childhood/Teenage obsessions that I’ve proudly brought with me into adulthood. Some including: Strawberry Shortcake, Carebears (Mainly Cheer Bear - light pink w/Rainbow belly badge), My Little Pony, Video Games, Crafts, the love of Collecting Randoms, the urge to NOT throw something away, and many more…. :) Sometimes my fiance thinks I have issues! Haha
- I love reading Fantasy books, others just don’t seem to interest me too much -My favorite 2 series are: The Twilight Series and The Iron Fae Series - I’ve read them all more than twice a piece. (8 books total)
- I’ve had many nicknames throughout my my life, some have stayed some have passed. But the one I miss the most is being called “Amber” aka “Amber-Alert.”
- I’ve been with Alan, who I often refer to as my fiance, for over 9 years and the subject of marriage don’t often come up. I’m perfectly okay with that because that decision belongs to me, 100%.

#ChallengeToWrite -- 9 favorite books of all time
Today for the #ChallengeToWrite, I would like to write about my favorite books... the topic from May 12, 2013
- The Island of the Blue Dolphins - I read this book many times in school and even though I don't remember alot about it now, I know that it has always been one of my favorites.
- Twilight - Yes! I love me some sparkly vampires!!
- New Moon - What's not to love about adding a WareWolf to the mix?
- Eclipse - The Love Triangle keeps me on my toes and makes me even more interested to continue reading
- Breaking Dawn - The excitement and thrill of Bella turning into a Vampire FINALLY! And the birth of a half human and half vampire is enough for any girl to dread the end of a series!!
- Iron King - The action mixed with the love is very exciting and I couldn't put the book down!
- Iron Daughter - I have been known to dream of being A Summer Faerie Trying to Make it in the Mortal World and even have a facebook page about it. I love how faeries are names I know and the love story is amazing.
- Iron Queen - The story continues as Megan grows powerful, troubles don't end and the love keeps burning.
- Iron Knight - In the words of the Ice Prince, the ending to a beautiful story takes place and everyone loves a happy ending!

A Sad Day in Candler

I had never lost someone real close to me until my best friends mom and step-dad died a couple years ago. That was the toughest few weeks that I've ever been trough! And now another close friend has passed away and I don't know what to say. What's going on in this world? Why did he have to leave his family on the day before Mother's Day? I'm sure Hank's family is asking the same questions right now. The answers... we will never receive. I want to hug Dotty and tell her that everything will be okay, that we will get through this together. She's a strong woman, it will take time.I miss my friend. That abandoned house is not very far from my home... I kind of want to go sit on it's porch. To remember the good ol' days.
Today is Mother's Day and I sit here at my desk grateful for my life and for my daughters and mom. But then I look to my right and I see a photo of my best-friend's mom and I start to cry. I know that Hank is with Mom and Pops in Heaven.
It may be a sad day on earth for us... but it's a reunion in Heaven for them.
Mom, Pops and Hank are sitting on a cloud, watching over all of us, wishing we would all just dry up our tears and smile.
RIP Hank
You will be missed by many!
I also want to wish Donna Wolfe a Happy Mother's Day in Heaven.
We love you! - Hug Hank for us!
This song from Jason Aldean makes me remember the good times when Hank, Mom and Pops was still with us, here on Earth.

#ChallengeToWrite -- What does your family mean to you…
![]() |
| I believe I was the only one ready for this photo! lol |
To me, Family means many different things. My friends have become a big part of my family and for some part... taken the place of a few family members.
The most important people in my life are my daughters, they are my true family and I wouldn't trade them in for the world. Those girls and my fiance are my family!
When it comes to everyone else..... It can get touch sometimes.
I don't talk to anyone in my family. I just happen to be the outcast on my dad's side of the family and "someone who doesn't come around often" to my mom's side.
My parents have been divorced for as long as I can remember and I do know that after my mama and daddy divorced... It was never the same when it came to my grandparents... On both sides.
Child Support, Fighting, Accusing, It all pushed me away from my father's side of the family.
My mama's side of the family LOVED my daddy and they talk to him WAY more than I do. He seems to call my mamaw and daddy-paw often.... I haven't talked to him in months.
I was super close to my mom's side of the family until we all started having kids.
I got pregnant..... 1 month later my mamas sister did too.... A couple months later, my other aunt got pregnant also.
3 Pregnant girls, in the same family, all having girls.
That would bring a family together right?
No.
We were all doing great until the babies came and I ended up having another daughter just 11 months after my first. I guess I had to many kids to hang out with and now that they are 5 and 6... We are the outcasts once again.
Most days, I'm okay with it. My daughters are all I need to keep me happy. My friends have helped out alot by filling in the holes of not having a close family can leave but I still have my days where it bothers me when I see everyone else hanging out and I wasn't invited. It's not so much that I wasn't invited.... My daughters wasn't invited.
My little family at home is doing great and though if I was able... I may of changed a few things about my past but then I wouldn't be the woman I am today.
Life may be hard but with the family I do have with me.... We got this!
