Secret Santa Squirrels
A Fun Rhyming Christmas Picture Book
By Hazel Nutt

Are your kids excited about Santa Claus this year? The Holiday Season is a time where everyone's happy and joyful as well as thankful and giving! The food's always delicious, family is everywhere and no child will allow the grown-ups to forget about PRESENTS under the Christmas Tree!! But everyone knows that the most exciting gifts of all are the ones delivered by magic, by a man with a beard.

But how DOES Santa deliver all of those presents, to thousands of kids around the world, and do it in just ONE NIGHT?

I bet you'd never believe me if I said that, Santa couldn't make that trip without a little bit of help from reindeer poo and some squirrel friends...

Atleast that's how Hazel Nutt* explains it in her funny new holiday ebook called: Secret Santa Squirrels.
(Learn more about Hazel Nutt at the end of review)

*The story describes how Santa makes that really LONG trip around the world each year, and his clever little trick that helps ensure that all presents quickly make it to the houses!*
I don't want to say too much because I would hate to ruin this cute holiday story for anyone! It'll have you giggling from the very start and even as a "grown-up," I couldn't wait to continue on and find out what else Santa does!

My daughters love the idea of squirrels helping Santa and I believe we may end up having to set out a couple nuts this year, beside Santa's plate. - Something else that my girls quickly realized was that that Hazel Nutt didn't just set out cookies for Santa, she left the Reindeer some carrots too... JUST LIKE WE DO, on Christmas Eve night!! (It's not often that we find others who leave those hard working animals a snack like we do. But they're the ones pulling the sleigh in the first place so they' have to get hungry and tired up there and need a snack like Santa does. Right?)

Find out exactly, how Santa delivers those extra special gifts - Especially for the GOOD little boys and girls!

This is such an adorable festive Holiday book that all kids will enjoy! My daughters, Jade and Loran, LOVE it!! We read the story together by taking turns with the pages and had alot of fun with the rhyming words. I really enjoyed the fact that it turns out that Secret Santa Squirrels is the at perfect level of reading for both girls - Since they're in 1st & 2nd (as well as Less than a year apart in age), their reading levels aren't too far apart from each other. Both, Loran and Jade read the the whole story with me and only needed help with a couple words!

Secret Santa Squirrels makes a wonderful bedtime story during the holidays! Kids'll be dreaming of Santa flying through the sky with his Naughty or Nice list while squirrels are busy below!

Since almost everyone has either a computer, a tablet or a smartphone - even most of the kids - Ebooks are great gift ideas since they can be read and carried anywhere without all the worries, like a lost page. And since this IS a Holiday book, I recommend parents to always have Secret Santa Squirrels near by... You never know what kind of questions your little one may throw your way and us parents need to be prepared for anything!

You can find Secret Santa Squirrels on Amazon for just $2.99 for the ebook!
($8.99 for Paperback)

About the Author:
Hazel Nutt isn't your ordinary author but her stories are simply adorable. What sets her out from the crowd is that she'll forever be 2 and maybe the fact that Hazel's not only a squirrel lover but has been chatting with them since her baby days.

Friends of the Greenville Zoo

Join the Greenville Zoo's Circle of Friends!

Did you know that the Greenville Zoo has a non-profit organization called "Friends of the Greenville Zoo"?

The Greenville Zoo is one of the top rated tourist attractions in the Upstate of South Carolina and one of my all time favorites! It's one of the closest Zoo's to my hometown of Asheville, NC and a top pick for alot of the locals! I love being able to visit all the animals throughout the Greenville Zoo's 14-acre facility that  features wildlife from around the world including giraffes, monkeys, giant tortoises, elephants and a variety of reptiles. (The Elephants are my favorite!)
The Zoo is open seven days a week, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
From 3/1 to 9/30, the Greenville Zoo extends their hours of operation from 9 AM to 5 PM, giving the guests an opportunity to take advantage of the cooler mornings during the Summer months of the year. Also, the zoo has added a third ticket booth to shorten the wait time for both groups and individuals. (Shorter wait time is ALWAYS a plus! Who wants to stand in line for an hour with 2 kids begging to see the monkeys?!)
Zoo entry ticket sales will close at 4:15 PM

Ducks in a Row - Flashback Photo Opp

#Flashback #PhotoOpp

"Ducks in a Row"

Since I've been without one of my all time favorite electronics... my camera aka my baby, and have been stuck to using my phone camera on everything... I decided to share a few photos from my past. This past month has been the first time in over 5 years that I've been without a working camera (I'm so thankful for my smartphone camera but no phone photo will EVER compare to the crisp, detailed shots that I'm able to capture with an actual camera) I've had to put my serious photography on hold until I'm able to get myself another good camera. I'm lost without my camera and I'm hoping that sharing some of my best photos will make me feel alittle better!

Back in 2010, I was riding down the back roads of Candler, NC with my mama. I had my camera with me (like always) and out of nowhere, I saw a family of ducks walking on the side of the road! I quickly convinced my mama to pull over so I could take a few pictures of the ducks. I believe it had been raining pretty hard in the days and/or hours, I'm not 100% sure about the rain but the creek in the photos is very high and dark and look almost flooded! I was able to snap 3 photos of the duck family and I have to say that my favorite shot is the one I named "Ducks in a Row". I shared this photo in my Shapes in Nature activity post and decided to share the rest of the collection. I hope you enjoy my Duck Photos.
I'm hoping to get more new Nature Photography soon but I will continue sharing my older photos through out the next few weeks.

Enjoy!
Comment all you like! I would LOVE to hear your feedback on my photography!

Moving on to a better place to call home

Nature is such a beautiful thing! I don't get out into nature as much as I like but I'm hoping to change that very soon! I've got big plans with my daughters and Nature is a big part of out Summer outings!

(I hope to get a new camera soon, I'm feeling really down without my baby!!)

My photography sites haven't been updated in a few months but I plan on working on them all very soon!
-- Keep your eyes peeled for updates on my "new camera mission" as well as Photography page updates! --

A Giveaway for your 4-legged Friends

No more worries about pet shampoos irritating our 4 legged friends' skin anymore! John Paul has come up with a product that is safe and great for the animals in our life.

This review and giveaway is hosted by The Momma And Boys

John Paul, who is also the co-founder of Paul Mitchell band testing on animals with his products over 30 years ago. All his products are "tested on humans first" and are pH balanced so they do not irritate our pets' sensitive skin.

This is my doggy Nibbler. He suffers from sensitive skin and food allergies so we always have to be careful with what we use to bath him and feed him. So I choose to review the John Paul Pet Care Three Pack Tea Tree Oil. I felt like this helped Nibbler out a lot since most dog shampoos leave his skin flaky and itchy. The John Paul Pet Care kit came with the tea tree oil shampoo, a spray in condition, and pet care wipes. They all help moisturize his skin and keep his coat clean and shiny.

This is my puppy, Daisy. Even though she is a puppy I was able to use the products on her since it is made for sensitive skin. John Paul's product worked great on both dogs

Enter LuLu's Pet Wash Giveaway! *Live*

Lulu's Pet Wash is made strictly for your pets by a company called School of Wash. It is made to help make your animals smell nice, which we all know how much we always want our pets smelling nice and fresh. Nothing is worse than a stinky dog making our houses smell icky! We can wash and wash our dogs but once they dry.... they still stink. I got this wonderful opportunity to bring you this awesome pet care giveaway. Below you will read one bloggers experience with LuLu's Pet Wash and learn how to enter this wonderful giveaway that she has allowed me to be a part of and bring to all of you!

I was so excited to receive my Lulu's Pet Care Kit for my dogs.  They have tons of scent options to choose from and the one I choose was banana coconut.  When the shampoo and spritz came I could not wait to try it out on my pets!

This is Ms. Daisy and she is all excited for her bath to try out her new shampoo and spritz. My dogs were really needing to be bathed.  Lulu's Pet Care Kit helped make her not stink anymore.  And I must say the banana coconut smell is amazing.  I love the way it makes my puppy smell afterwards.

Now this guy is Mr. Nibbler!  Since he is a lot bigger dog he usually stinks the worse.  He also suffers from dry skin a lot of the times.  This stuff not only did wonders on the way he smelled, but he also has not been itching as much after being bathed with it.  Also, as we all know that not long after bathing our dogs they stink.  With LuLu's Pet Care Kit the smell last a while on the pet and when it does fade you are able to use the spritz which I just love having on hand to help freshen up their coat with the smell.

The Giveaway goes live at Midnight TONIGHT!
